El proyecto responde a una realidad, una nueva esfera pública emergente de la red distribuída de prácticas domésticas en los espacios privados de la ciudad. El prototipo Caseando propone fortalecer estos espacios y actores a través de una serie de talleres DIY (hazlo tú mismo) en esta nuevas forma de vivienda. Caseando es un dispositivo de acción y participación ciudadana a través de prácticas domésticas. Durante una semana se celebran siete microtalleres asociados con necesidades específicas alrededor del tema del ciclo.

Para ello se proponen una serie de dispositivos que permitan dicha acción colectiva. Dispositivos que, mediante su construcción “hazlo tú mismo”, o “hazlo con otros”, de forma económica, ágil y lúdica, reciclando materiales y aprendiendo, podamos incorporarlos a nuestra vivienda o espacio doméstico, empoderándonos y generando nodos de acción y práctica ciudadana. Los talleres propuestos se conforman a partir de la creación de un prototipo de vivienda, auto-producida de forma colaborativa. Sobre ella se irán incorporando los dispositivos que se vayan construyendo a lo largo de los 6 micro-talleres. El punto de partida es el dispositivo que se desarrolla en el IDYS que articula por un lado el relato de los talleres y es el soporte sobre la que se insertan otros dispositivos y es la infraestructura que habilita el desarrollo de diferentes actividades entorno a este proceso.

The project responds to a reality, a new public sphere emerging from the distributed network of domestic practices in the private spaces of the city. The Caseando prototype proposes to strengthen these spaces and actors through a series of DIY workshops in this new form of housing. Caseando is a device of action and citizen participation through domestic practices. During one week, seven micro-workshops associated with specific needs are held around the theme of the cycle.

To this end, a series of mechanisms are proposed to enable such collective action. Devices that, through their construction «do it yourself», or «do it with others», in an economic, agile and playful way, recycling materials and learning, we can incorporate into our homes or domestic spaces, empowering us and generating nodes of action and citizen practice. The workshops proposed are based on the creation of a prototype home, self-produced in a collaborative way. The devices that will be built along the 6 micro-workshops will be incorporated on it. The starting point is the device that is developed in the IDYS that articulates on the one hand the story of the workshops and is the support on which other devices are inserted and is the infrastructure that enables the development of different activities around this process.
